Need an after hours consult and you can’t reach our practice?

Proverbs delegates after hours care*

Visit page
*Proverbs Family Medical Practice endeavours to provide continuity of care, even in the after hours setting, but sometimes a home visit for a sick child or a question about a medication is best done on the spot. Sydney Medical Service Co-Op Ltd as a service provides urgent medical care for patients in the after-hours period. They are not for medical emergencies. If symptoms are critical or life-threatening, call triple zero (000) for an ambulance or go to hospital immediately. Urgent care might include treatment for illnesses such as; gastro, urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, migraines, ear infections, fevers or injuries from falls that are not serious. If the condition is not life-threatening and requires urgent medical attention before your regular GP is open our doctors may attend. Further information is available on their website https://www.sydmed.com.au/services/patient/

“Although best efforts are made, this practice email can not always guarantee timely monitoring and responses, though it is our preferred means of communication. There is a risk that important clinical information sent to this address may be missed or not picked up, particularly time-critical information. In addition, we urge all patients to carefully consider the issue of security before sending medical information via non-encrypted email. The safest method for communicating clinical information is after an appointment has been arranged via an online consult or in person. Please do not use Australia Post for forwarding time-critical information. “
